the main trick to printing high quality pictures is using large pictures and finding a program that has an option to shrink picture to print.. resizing a picture just to print will be poor quality. and if you print actual size it will be a damn poster. shrink to print is the key.
making graphics is an art. but you also need good tools. you can hand draw something then scan it to your computer. then enhance it with a program. you need to get yourself a good picture editor like paint shop pro 10 etc.. either buy one or search for a free one.
to fine edit any picture i use regular paintbrush that comes with windows. yeah thats right. it zooms to 800 x times so you can touch up around a picture. i use paintbrush quite a bit. but you need to get yourself something like paint shop pro. so you can send objects backwards forwards make them faded. all kinds of stuff. but it is a art to make a picture look good. same with making a good website layout. it is a art. once you learn html its just design and content.
you can capture a picture by using the printscreen button on your keyboard. it pretty much takes a snap shot of your screen. then you can paste it into paintbrush and select the item you want. and also here is a free enhancement for the print screen button.. it will auto save the pictures in jpg high quality format into the folder you choose.. download the print screen replacement.. and it takes only a few seconds to set-up..
you can find pictures quick to use in your logos or business cards etc. use google images its google.com then click images at the top. then type in what your looking for. then you can fine edit something in the pic you want with paintbrush. then use it in your project.
