ok go get some aol and windows os cds pour some lighter fuel on them light a match.. and just set it and forget it.. that simple..
heh the reason they call it burning a cd is because you do burn a image on the cd.. but it dont catch fire =)..
all you need is a cd r/wr drive or a dvd r/wr drive.. r/rw stand for writeable / or rewriteable.. a writeable cd you can only put data on it once.. its irreversible.. a rewriteable cd works alittle different.. it is a tad slower to copy data to it.. but it can be deleted and new data can be put in its place.. like a big floppy cd..
cd r's hold 700mb of space on them dvd r's hold 4.7 gb of space thats a difference of...
cd r = 700,000,000 bytes
dvd r = 4,700,000,000 bytes
per disk...........
thats a huge difference.. and yes you can copy just regular files to dvds. like you can cd r's it dont just have to be movies... to burn a cd all you need is a burner and software to use it.. and then buy blank disks thats for your burner.. if you have a 16x dvd burner then you can buy 16x blank dvds or lower.. but if you only have a 8x dvd rom you cant use anything more then 8x blank dvds..
just click on one of the sites listed above and read the description of the program.. deep burner is perfect for making data dvds or cds.. dvd shrink is for copying dvd movies.. you can also search for freeware dvd copier software or cd copier software..
